Mentors

Damian Wagner-Herold

PhD(c) at UPM School of Architecture (2021-2025). He coordinates EU projects at itdUPM. Holds degrees in Architecture and Urbanism (UNI, Peru – 2010), and a Master’s in Strategies and Tech. for Development (UCM & UPM, Spain – 2018). Leads EU projects on climate change, urban experimentation and art.

Silvia Scozzafava

I am a passionate ecologist, working at the intersection between science, entrepreneurship and rural development. After a career as a conservation officer in natural reserves, I founded a startup and launched BlockCO2, a carbon removal credit system for rural areas.

Peter Fröhlich

Peter Fröhlich is Head of Unit for International Cooperation and Partnerships. He has more than 20 years experience in the citizen-centered design and research of novel urban solutions. Peter has led diverse workshops and has supervised researchers in the participatory creation of products.

Kaisa Hansen

Kaisa Hansen has 10 years of experience in sustainable business, innovation and circular economy. She is a certified ESG and circular economy expert, business mentor and a sustainability coach. She has done research and is active in the fields of regenerative economy, business model innovation

Jury Members

Fiona Toplek

Fiona has over a decade of experience in climate tech, spanning continents and industries. With a background in Mechanical engineering and energy policy, she has worked for organizations like the UN and BCG. Today, she is a leader in BCG’s climate practice in San Francisco.

Vera Marin

Recently selected Ashoka fellow for social innovation, Vera is dedicated to youth empowerment through built environment education. With more than 20 years of teaching experience in Ion Mincu University and of action research in ATU – Association for Urban Transition and 10 years in De-a Arhitectura.

Marc Germeshausen

Marc Germeshausen studied “Media and Convergence Managemtn” at the Alpen-Adria-University in Klagenfurt. Since 2005 he is engaged in the social field and supports since 2011 with the Service Club Round Table local as well as international people in need. Next to his self-employment he is the director of Europahaus Klagenfurt and Manager of EUROPE DIRECT Kärnten.

Johannes Naimer-Stach

I am a professional climate and innovation expert, consultant and speaker, running an academy for climate action called Klimaschutzakademie.
