Poznan Hackathon

Members: Natalia Burlaga, Adam Grzywaczyk, Oliwia Degórska and Branislav Trudić.

Challenge: How might we reduce plastic packaging in the food industry and make neighborhoods free from soil, air, and ecosystem pollution generated by the plastic industry and waste?

The solution: Our biocellulose packaging solution is a sustainable, multilayered material derived from plant peels and plant-based waste, enriched with natural enzymes for antimicrobial properties and biophenols for antioxidant properties. Designed to be edible and fully biodegradable, it offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic packaging while ensuring food safety and extended shelf life. We provide a zero-waste, non-toxic packaging solution that not only reduces environmental impact but also enhances food preservation and shelf life.
