Smion (formerly Lean Startup Croatia) is an innovation hub fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Dedicated to empowering startups, we provide tailored tools and programs from idea validation to market entry. With 67 projects executed, 230+ educational sessions, and 50+ events, our impact is evident through engagement with over 3,000 users. Our services span incubation to venture building, emphasizing agrifood, healthtech, and greentech sectors, aligning with EU missions such as Adaptation to Climate Change and achieving Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities. We directly support sustainable food production, healthcare technology, and environmental innovation to contribute to these EU goals.

Raúl Sánchez
Since 2005, he works at CARTIF’s Agrifood & Processes Division. He is now the Head of Natural Resources & Climate Area. He has coordinated H2020 and HE projects. His expertise lies in urban ecology, NBS, water management, city renaturalization, agroecology and climate change adaptation & mitigation.
