CIEC

CIEC is the first Circular Economy Innovation Centre, driven by the Government Area for Economy, Innovation, and Finance of the Madrid City Council. It is focused on innovation, talent attraction, and job creation, fostering entrepreneurship and the formation of networks around the Circular Economy and represents a bold and concrete step towards the development of Circular Economy initiatives.

Mentors

María Galindo

Experienced in public policy and consulting, specifically in Digital Policy, Climate Agendas and International Affairs. She has developed urban innovation and sustainability projects in Europe, Latin America and Asia. She is Board Member of the European Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.

Álvaro Silva

Alvaro Silva, CEO of his own Independent Consultancy, is a seasoned chemical and environmental engineer specializing in water cycles and sustainability. With a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Sustainability Program from MIT, he’s currently pursuing an Executive MBA at EAE

Óscar Gil Gonzalo

I am a professional with a wide experience in Corporate and Technology Innovation in multiple sectors; who enjoys promoting and supporting Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Tech for Good.

Santiago Jiménez

A young entrepreneur committed to positive impact. Passionate about technology, creativity, and nature, I currently lead a multidisciplinary team as co-founder and CEO of Liight.

Pedro Salazar

Industrial Engineer passionate about technology, strategy and innovation. In the last 15 years, I have worked as researcher, manager and director of R&D in technology centres, large industrial enterprises and startups. I can help you develop, finance and bring your ideas to the market.

Irene Rodriguez

Irene Rodríguez is ESG Vice President at AltamarCAM and Secretary of the ESG Committee since 2021. Graduated in Industrial Engineering, she began her career in 2014, having worked for different public and private organizations as the French Ministry of Environment and PwC, among others.

Javier Martín Sanz

Industrial Engineer from the University of Valladolid. He currently has almost 15 years at Veolia, being Chief Innovation Officer since 2021. He has participated in several projects in the fields of energy, water and waste, as well as in more than 25 R&I projects at European and national level

Verónica García

We have an obligation to leave a better world behind, which is why I work tirelessly leading change towards sustainability and mobility of the future. Currently I am involved with several innovation projects.

Lorenza Moreno

After working for a while in the software industry, I started my professional career in the field of technology transfer more than fifteen years ago. Since then, I have specialised in entrepreneurship, launching academia spin-offs and helping entrepreneurs to move from the lab to the market.
